Radial Pressure Wave Therapy-Shockwave

image

Radial Pressure Wave Therapy/Shockwave uses radial, pneumatically-generated, low-energy acoustic waves, or ‘pressure pulses’. The applied pressure pulse propagates radially within the tissue, generating a therapeutic effect.

The modality has been shown to effectively help reduce pain, increase blood flow, and activate connective tissue in the treated area.

Some conditions/indications that have shown improvement using this therapy include:

  • Myofascial Trigger Points
  • Plantar Fasciitis
  • Heel Spurs
  • Chronic Shoulder pain
  • Bicep tendonitis
  • Tennis elbow
  • Golfer's elbow
  • Achilles tendon inflammation
  • Patellar tendonitis
  • Shin splints
  • Cervicogenic Headaches
  • Low back spasm

You can see why we have incorporated such a useful tool to treat some of the  most common issues our patients have reported to us!
