    Dr. Alex McMinn
    Chiropractor

    Dr Alex McMinn is the owner and clinic director of Potomac Family & Sports Chiropractic. He has been practicing as a Sports Chiropractor for the last 28 years.

    He received his Doctorate of Chiropractic degree from Life Chiropractic College in Atlanta Georgia. He also holds a Bachelor of Science in Sports Medicine. He is licensed by the National Board of Examiners and the Virginia Board of Medicine, and is a certified personal trainer. He specializes in sports performance, rehabilitation, and wellness.

    He has served as the official Team Chiropractor of the Washington Redskins for 2 seasons (2001-2003). He currently treats players all over the National Football League (NFL), including current Redskin players (1999-present) helping these athletes reach their optimal level of performance and career longevity.

    For the last 28 years Dr Alex has been recognized for his ability to treat young athletes and aid in their development to the high school, college, and club level. To optimize their performance, prevent injury, and adapt to the changes of the next level of competition. Helping athletes reach individual and team goals.

    He believes every athlete has an optimal physical and mental level that is attainable. The combination of chiropractic care, specific types of exercise, and the proper nutrition can help the athlete achieve optimal performance at any level.

  • Dr. Mike
    Dr. Mike Narvid
    Chiropractor

    Dr. Narvid is from Kingston, Pennsylvania. While growing up in Kingston, he enjoyed competing in many sports, later focusing on football at Ursinus College, where he received his bachelor’s degree in Biology with a minor in Wellness Education. After graduating from Ursinus in 2017, he went on to receive his Doctor of Chiropractic at Life University in 2021.

    While he was always interested in the healthcare field, Dr. Mike became particularly intrigued with chiropractic after he reaped the benefits of care to get back on the field during his football career. With a passion for helping people, Dr. Mike utilizes chiropractic adjustments, soft tissue techniques, and rehabilitative exercises to provide patient-centered care for musculoskeletal complaints to ensure his patients can comfortably get back to doing what they love.

    After working with patients in northeastern Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, and Charlottesville, Dr. Mike has made the move to Northern Virginia with his wife, Sally.  In his spare time, Dr. Mike enjoys watching live sports, concerts and comedy shows, as well as lifting weights, traveling, and going on walks with his golden retriever.

    Dr. Karen S. Benton
    Chiropractor

    Dr. Karen S. Benton cares for her patients using a 'whole person' approach to wellness. This means her focus is on improving the overall health of each individual patient through treating the underlying cause of illness and pain and not just treating symptoms alone.

    Through gentle chiropractic care, combined with an extensive background in nutrition and body conditioning, Dr. Karen is able to make lifestyle changes to optimize normal function to assist you on your journey to health.

    Dr. Karen received her Doctorate of Chiropractic from Logan College of Chiropractic in 1998. She also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Life Sciences. Post-doctoral study's include ART (Active Release Technique), Whiplash/auto injuries, and Pediatric care. She is certified in Webster technique, successfully turning many babies while in the womb. She enjoys working with families, and has done extensive research on diet and nutrition and its importance to healthy development and function both in children and in adults. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two children, as well as running, yoga and body conditioning.
